A written name is like a painted line, the female form like a precious book; Chitsu.

The single form of a broken ensō, In this series I use this creative symbol to represent the female; painted with a single brush stroke or finger movement. I have included text, language, calligraphy to explore the names used to describe the female.  I reclaim these words as powerful and assertive, painted beautifully as if they are cherished texts or samplers.

These were shown at VQ women's Health event and at Birmingham Women's Hospital.
